The Municipality of Amsterdam has a large fleet of vehicles that is mainly focused on keeping the city clean. Due to the intensive use, damage to these vehicles regularly occurs. Minor damage must be kept accurate and extensive registration takes place in the event of larger damages. This recovery must be planned quickly. This process is not running optimally. As a result, these vehicles cannot be deployed for days. A major cost.
Checking fleet damage on a daily basis is an important but labour-intensive task for the fleet manager. Damages are kept in a static document. Due to the size of the fleet, it is difficult to immediately see which damages have been reported and which have already been registered.
In addition, all claims must be reported to the insurer. In response to the damage, it creates a repair number so that the repair can be carried out by an external company. The existing system is not clear and mobile enough to quickly make new observations and reports. Photos of damage provide a clear overview of what is going on, but these must all be entered manually.
Solid Digital has started developing a mobile app that is easy to use and consists of two parts; a claims management system for the fleet manager and an app for registering damage more easily.
A comprehensive overview in which all incoming reports are recorded and reports can be created. In addition, it shows trends and common damages. This environment is only accessible to the fleet manager.
The system makes it much easier to identify a vehicle. Existing claims are clearly displayed, so that only new claims are reported. Registering a new damage is possible for any user of the fleet without having access to the administrative part. Damages are reported in three simple steps;
